We have overcome the challenge of retaining the volatile
oil in spice milling. With our cold milling capability, we can
produce powder from any spice and food, to any particle
size, retaining the aroma, colour and natural goodness of
the raw material, by milling below 20 degrees centigrade,
irrespective of the ambient temperature.
Spice exporters including cinnamon exporters have been
making a critical request time and again to retain the
volatile oil in milling cinnamon, which is a minute value of
about 1 – 2 % and to help elevate the traditional cinnamon
export of Sri Lanka from the Dutch period to a value added
export product. We readily accepted this challenge and
have been able to address it successfully. Our huge mill is
now the Nation’s factory capable of milling spices into any
particle sized powder within a few seconds at a
temperature of 20°C or less, even if the ambient
temperature is as high as 40°C, retaining the natural
goodness during production.

Human being made the grains from two herbaceous plants, Rice and Wheat belonging to Graminaceous family, his main pulse. Out of the two, majority of the world population has selected Rice that is a produce of paddy plant as their staple food. Apart from being an essential food crop due to it's intrinsic elasticity quality owing to Gluten, Wheat is well established as a compulsory ingredient in commercial food industry.
However, consuming Wheat in many preparations has proven to contribute to a multitude of health issues while Rice continues to maintain a clean sheet of record. Failure to develop Rice flour for commercial utilization has resulted in many countries facing political and economic hardships despite having surplus paddy stocks and Rice varieties that can challenge Wheat flour in any application is something worth pondering.
Our desire to think out of the box to explore the possibilities of using Rice Flour in commercial and domestic food applications never thought was possible gave birth to HelathyFla. Since the inception we knocked on every door of impossibility and got positive answers. From biscuit to cake to ice cream to caramel pudding to traditional rice flour based foods, we realized our dream of challenging Wheat Flour with our own Rice Flour. We intend sharing our innovations and achievements with the general public.
